Eldin Bernecky

Eldin Bernecky is a laid-back, new age philosophy-dispensing house painter, hired by Murphy to repaint her house. He had so many grand ideas that he was in her employ for six seasons. Being a highly talented artist, his renovations were often delayed when struck by the urge to paint socially-relevant murals throughout the house. The character of Eldin was based on real life painter Gabe Kis, New York City's Painter to the Stars.

Eldin can usually be seen working on many “unfinished” projects in Murphy’s townhouse, but is also short of a best friend to Murphy even though he may tease her at times.
